Great weekend of music!

On Friday night I played to a packed room with the Ben Stolorow Quartet at the Square One Yoga Studio. Stoli Rose played first featuring Steph Stolorow on vocals and Ben Storolow on Keyboard. Steph writes incredible songs and has a fantastic voice! Ben provides the perfect accompaniment and I’m hoping they will record sometime soon. Check them out if you get a chance!

The Ben Stolorow Quartet played afterwards, which was a a lot of fun. We mostly played originals by Ben, Ian Carey and myself. In addition to Ben on keys it was Ian Carey on trumpet, Noah Schenker on bass, me on drums.

Saturday night I played with Betty Fu at Ozumo. That was a fun night with Sam Bevan on bass and Adam Shulman on piano. Betty sounds great and you can hear her every Saturday at Ozumo from 6-9:30!

Sunday I played with Ben Stolorow and Ravi Abcarian at the Oakland Museum. It was a wine and food tasting event but to us it felt like a concert since we had an excellent sound man named Curtis dialing things in. It’s really fun to play trio with these guys!
